Login as User PRO for WordPress Support
Login as User PRO helps site administrators, customer support agents, and store managers inspect a registered visitor’s site experience. A permitted person selects Login as beside that user, reviews the frontend as that account, then selects Go back to admin to return to the original account. This can help investigate a missing order, a course access problem, or an unexpected menu.
Investigate the reported account
Login as User PRO helps site administrators, customer support agents, and store managers inspect a registered visitor’s site experience. A permitted person selects Login as beside that user, reviews the frontend as that account, then selects Go back to admin to return to the original account. This can help investigate a missing order, a course access problem, or an unexpected menu.
The add-on states that it does not request, store, or expose passwords, and that account switching uses WordPress’s native authentication system.
Open switching from related entries
In WooCommerce, the control appears on the Orders list and in the order details metabox. Staff can use these entry points to investigate checkout, refunds, or missing orders from the customer’s view. WooCommerce Subscriptions adds the control to subscription lists and detail screens.
MemberPress offers account switching from Members, Subscriptions, and Transactions, which can help staff verify access to protected content. In SureCart, the control is available on Customers and Orders lists.
Set access and placement
Role permissions let site managers limit who can use the feature and which users they may impersonate. For example, Shop Managers can be allowed to log in as Customers while being blocked from impersonating Administrators or Editors.
To place a button where needed, use the PRO shortcode and set its user, destination, and button text:
[login_as_user user_id="357" redirect_to="/my-account" button_name="Login as $USER"]
For Users, WooCommerce, and SureCart tables, settings let you display or hide the column, pick its position, and select Small, Medium, or Large sizing. Custom CSS can style the frontend message bar and administration buttons without editing add-on documents. The frontend bar can also provide a route back to the administrator account after the support session.
Follow the support process
- Open the relevant user, order, subscription, member, customer, or transaction area.
- Select the Login as User control for the account you need to inspect.
- Review the site or connected account area from that user’s perspective.
- Use Go back to admin when troubleshooting is finished.
Install and configure
Install Login as User PRO on the WordPress site where account troubleshooting is needed. In the plugin settings, configure permitted roles, redirects, button appearance, list columns, frontend message behavior, integrations, shortcode use, and custom CSS.
