Configure a track or playlist
Audio Player Block Pro lets musicians, podcasters, course creators, and bloggers add audio to WordPress posts and pages. Choose one file for a standalone recording or add multiple files to make a playlist. Tracks can include titles, artist names, and cover images. Smart play and pause control enables one track to play at a time and automatically pauses other tracks.
A playlist can present an album, podcast episodes, or a series of audio lessons. A single recording can accompany a post or provide article narration.
Which playback controls are included?
The Pro version adds five customizable themes with different looks and options. Auto Play starts the next song when the current one ends, while Loop Mode repeats the current track after it finishes. Previous and next controls move through a playlist.
- Show the current and total time for each track.
- Show or hide a custom stop button.
- Offer playback speed settings.
- Add a download icon for saving the audio file.
- Use forward and backward buttons to skip within a track.
Style the player
Adjust the thumbnail border and radius, seek bar height and radius, thumb width, outline, and shadow. Other settings include the controls border and hover border, time display radius, artist opacity, waveform colors, and playlist border and radius.
The player also works with width and height adjustments, colors, backgrounds, hover effects, track details, cover images, and audio uploads. These controls let you set the player’s appearance for the surrounding post or page.
Where can you place audio?
Configure the player in Gutenberg where the post or page will appear. Shortcodes provide another placement option in locations that support shortcode content.
Set up the block
Install and activate the Audio Player Block plugin, then open a post or page in the Gutenberg editor. In the Widgets block category, add Audio Player Block. Upload audio files and a cover picture, enter a title and artist name for each track, and arrange the playlist.
Use the settings sidebar to pick a theme, set playback behavior, and adjust dimensions and visual details. Publish the post or page when the player is ready. You can also use the shortcode option in another location that supports shortcode content.
