License Manager for WooCommerce Pro manages software license records and serial key inventory within a WooCommerce process. It is designed for digital product stores, WordPress extension and theme developers, SaaS providers, and agencies distributing client licenses.

How products receive keys

Create license key generators with custom parameters for unique key combinations, then assign a generator to one or more WooCommerce products. When an assigned product is sold, the generator can create a license and serial key. Keys can be delivered automatically after checkout by email and through the customer's WooCommerce account. Administrators can add license entries, manage availability and status in the dashboard, and resend delivery.

Tools for validation and renewals

The Pro edition includes controls for downloaded products, product information, customer access checks, subscriptions, and external integrations.

• Download Expires: Generate new software license keys and serial key entries when downloaded products expire.
• Product Download Detail: Associate a product version and change log with each software license.
• Customer license validation: Validate access using a customer ID or assigned serial key.
• Ping Request: Check the client-server connection and confirm software license validity.
• Subscription renewals: Issue a new key or extend the existing license and serial key when a subscription renews.

Inventory and license records

Generators can be assigned to products to create keys when those products are sold. The system can automatically manage licensed product stock and serial key inventory. Administrators can also generate licenses for past orders, import batches by file upload, export license records as PDF or CSV, and migrate keys from Digital License Manager or another existing key manager.

Customer access and connected applications

Customers can view license keys and serial key information in the WooCommerce My Account area. They can activate or deactivate keys, monitor serial key usage, and download software license certificates. Administrators can add a company logo to a certificate and manually resend key delivery.

Administrators manage license statuses, lifecycles, and serial key usage from the dashboard. The REST API supports license validation, activation, and deactivation, so connected applications, add-ons, or external services can work with license records.

Storage and setup

License records are stored with encryption. Administrators can hide or partially mask serial key values, export records for administrative processes, and use bulk tools to manage larger batches.

Install License Manager for WooCommerce Pro on the WordPress website running WooCommerce. Create or import license records, configure generators, and assign them to the relevant digital products. Then review delivery, customer account, API, subscription, webhook, and activation settings to match the store's license workflow.
