License For Envato Pro: WordPress License Management
License For Envato Pro extends a WordPress license server for developers who sell themes or add-ons through Envato. The server validates purchase codes through the Envato API and stores activation entries by domain in the WordPress database. Customers activate or deactivate their copy through a form in the product settings page. The server runs on your WordPress site, so license checks do not rely on a third-party service.

Pro includes tools for sales, updates, license limits, expiry management, and activity review. Client integration requires adding the supplied PHP class to your theme or a dedicated add-on file.
Pro license tools
- Connect WooCommerce orders with license management to sell licenses through your store. Issue licenses manually or in bulk without an Envato purchase.
- Deliver automatic updates for your own themes and plugins outside the WordPress plugin directory.
- Set the permitted number of domain activations for each license.
- Enforce support expiry and trigger an on-demand renewal re-sync from Envato.
- Send email notifications and a daily digest about upcoming expirations.
- Use webhooks with signed payloads for your integrations.
- Blacklist purchase codes or domains, review license activity, and export activity records as CSV.
- Review license information in the analytics dashboard. The Pro capability list also includes priority support.
Connect the client and server
Install the plugin on the WordPress site that will host the license server. In wp-admin → License Envato → Settings, open the Envato tab, enter your Envato personal token, and select Save Envato Token.
For each theme or plugin, copy the provided PHP class into its functions.php file or a dedicated plugin file. Set LICENCE_CALL_URL to your WordPress site URL and define a unique PREFIX for that product. Separate prefixes keep option keys distinct in the WordPress database when you manage multiple products. On the product settings page, instantiate licenseCodeVerifyForm(); to display the customer activation and deactivation form.
The client uses REST API endpoints for activation and deactivation: /wp-json/licenseenvato/v1/active and /wp-json/licenseenvato/v1/deactive.
Administration and storage
Search and manage verified licenses from the WordPress admin panel. The activation flow uses token-based handling with AES-256-CBC encrypted storage. The plugin has no external runtime dependencies.
