A code block sets both content and scope

CSS & JavaScript Toolbox PLUS provides a WordPress interface for adding CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and HTML in separate code blocks. Each block pairs an editor with a location editor, where you select the WordPress requests that should receive it. For example, a CSS block can change a selected page’s appearance, PHP can add functionality, and JavaScript can make a page interactive or add scripts such as analytics and chat widgets. Manage these blocks from a dashboard instead of editing theme documents or relying on theme options.

Assignments for individual items and website areas

The assignment panel targets pages, posts, custom posts, tags, and categories. Its auxiliary locations include the entire website, the website backend, all pages, all posts, recent posts, the blog index, all categories, search pages, archives, tag archives, author archives, attachment pages, and 404 error pages. You can choose multiple locations for one block, and assign multiple blocks to the same item.

Assignments define which requests receive a block. They cannot establish whether the code will produce its intended result on those requests.

When a block needs broader placement

PLUS includes premium placement options for the entire website, all posts, and other broad areas. It also supports adding code through shortcodes, widgets, and Gutenberg blocks, plus assignment by tags, URLs, and regular expressions. Eight additional hooks allow more precise placement. The invert capability runs a block everywhere except the locations selected for exclusion.

Create a block and choose its locations

1. Create a code block and select its code type.
2. Enter the CSS, JavaScript, PHP, or HTML in the editor.
3. Choose where the block should run in the assignment panel, then review the selected locations.
4. Save the block and manage additional blocks from the shared library.
