Operator capacity and website coverage
Chaport lists Free for two operators, Pro for four, and Unlimited for unlimited operators. One account can serve multiple websites on any plan. Visitor Info identifies the website behind each conversation. The widget can use a shared design across websites or a different appearance for individual URLs.
How conversations reach your team
Visitors can start a chat, open a direct chat link, or respond to an auto-invitation configured with specific rules. A pre-chat form can collect contact details or execute a short survey. Chatbots can provide information, answer questions, and request visitor details; they can transfer a conversation to a live operator when it needs a person. Assignment rules can route chats by language, page URL, visitor location, message text, and other conditions. Operators can invite a colleague into a conversation or join an existing chat, and teams can be organized by roles such as Support, Sales, or Marketing.
Visitor context and response utilities
While chatting, operators can see the pages a visitor browses and typing insights. Visitor information can include details such as name, phone number, email, language, and location. Search chat history by visitor name, email, phone number, notes, or message text. Other tools include saved replies, file sharing, internal notes, read receipts, chat transcripts, and messages for times when operators are offline. Reports track served and missed chats and the time operators spend online. The multilingual widget can switch to a visitor’s preferred language.
Widget setup and connected tools
Adjust the widget’s colors, background, and position to suit your website. Connect through the API or Zapier to transfer collected data to a CRM, email service, task manager, or another connected system.
To install the extension, create a Chaport account, install the WordPress plugin, enter the App ID in the plugin settings, and save. If you use the JavaScript API, configure the plugin with the installation code instead. After setup, check that the widget appears on your website. Operators can also handle chats with desktop apps for macOS and Windows or mobile apps for iOS and Android.
