WordPress backup, migration, and staging tools

BackupBliss – Backup Migration Staging Pro is a paid edition for creating, storing, restoring, migrating, and staging WordPress websites. It is designed for visitors who want more control over backup contents, storage destinations, scheduling, notifications, and backup processing.

The workflow is straightforward: create a backup from the plugin settings, select what it should contain, select where it should be stored, and then download, restore, or use it to migrate a website. The plugin can create a full website backup by default, while its paid capabilities provide more sophisticated selections for including or excluding files and databases.

Advanced backup controls

Premium and Pro capabilities include smart exclusion rules and more detailed filters for controlling backup contents. These options can help reduce backup size by excluding selected files, folders, plugins, or other site components when they are not needed for a particular backup.

The paid edition also delivers faster backup creation times, backup encryption, and additional compression methods using Tar and GZip. These controls give site administrators more ways to manage how backups are prepared and stored.

• Choose which files and databases are included or excluded.
• Define whether backups are stored locally, remotely, or in both locations.
• Set backup names and notification conditions.
• Use advanced backup triggers and automatic backups before updates.
• Configure fuller email notifications for backup activity.

Cloud storage and scheduled backups

BackupBliss Pro can connect backups to Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, pCloud, Amazon S3, Wasabi, SFTP, FTP, and BackupBliss Storage. After connecting an account through the storage settings, backup files can sync to the selected external location, with progress available in the management area.

Scheduling options support automatic backups at intervals such as daily, weekly, or monthly. This makes the plugin suitable for routine site maintenance, recurring backup plans, and processes that require a recent backup before updates or other changes.

Migration, restoration, and staging

Use a completed backup to migrate or duplicate a WordPress site to another host. Backups stored on the current site can be restored from the Manage & Restore Backup(s) area. The plugin also works with restoring from another site through the backup management workflow.

For testing changes, create a staging site on your own server or machine, define a custom path if required, or use TasteWP as an external WordPress sandbox. Select the backup file for the staging environment and start the staging-site process from the plugin settings.

Installation and first use

Install and activate BackupBliss – Backup Migration Staging Pro in WordPress. Open its settings, choose Create backup now, review the backup contents, and configure storage or scheduling as needed. To restore a file, open Manage & Restore Backup(s) and select Restore beside the required backup.
