Layouts for news and blog posts
Blog Designer Pack Premium and Blog Designer Pack PRO let you present posts in different formats across a WordPress site. Use grids, lists, masonry sections, sliders, carousels, grid boxes, tickers, timelines or vertical scrolling shows for recent posts, categories, featured articles and other editorial groups.
The paid editions add designs and display options. The PRO capability list includes more than 90 news and blog designs, along with filtering by category or tag, custom post type and taxonomy support, custom tags and custom links for posts. You can also create category grids and sliders, feature or mark trending posts, and display posts from multiple types.
Post layouts and controls
Shortcodes cover grids, lists, masonry, sliders, carousels, grid boxes and tickers. Examples include [bdp_post] for a grid, [bdp_post_list] for a list, [bdp_masonry] for masonry, [bdp_post_slider] for a slider, [bdp_post_carousel] for a carousel, [bdp_post_gridbox] for a grid box and [bdp_ticker] for a ticker.
Common shortcode options control the post count, category selection by ID or slug, design choice, author and category visibility, date, content, tags, comments, picture size, read-more link and post order. Slider and carousel settings include autoplay, timing, speed and navigation. Tickers can use horizontal or vertical effects, with options for autoplay, speed and text styling.
For larger collections, choose from numeric pagination, Ajax pagination, previous and next controls, Load More or infinite scroll. The PRO feature list also includes a shortcode generator with live preview, layout management, and Elementor and WPBakery support. A Gutenberg block is available for selecting a post display layout.
Widgets and editorial sections
Latest Posts and Post Vertical Scrolling widgets place updated content in a widget area. Separate layouts can display topic categories, featured or trending posts, or custom post types, so each section can use controls suited to its content.
Setup and page behavior
Install and activate the paid edition in WordPress, add the chosen shortcode to a page or post, then configure its layout, content source, filters and display settings. If the page is assigned as the site's Posts page in Settings > Reading, the theme may continue to control that archive. Set the Posts page selection to the default option, then add the shortcode to a regular page. The extension works with WordPress themes, though some themes may need styling adjustments.
