YITH WooCommerce Gift Cards Premium adds gift card products to a WooCommerce store. Customers select a value and design, enter sender and recipient details, add a message, and place an order like any other product. Virtual gift cards are sent by email; physical cards can be printed and shipped.

Set card values and personalize the design

Offer fixed amounts or let customers enter a custom value, with an optional minimum. Customers can choose an image from a gallery or upload or drag a photo into the gift card modal. Galleries can be assigned to specific gift cards or categories. Customers can also enter the sender’s name and a message.

A customer can send a gift card to multiple recipients. Each recipient receives an email with a code for the same amount.

Schedule delivery and configure gift card emails

Customers can choose a delivery date and time for an emailed card. The recipient receives the code after the related order reaches processing or complete status. You can configure the code format, attach a PDF to the email and personalize its name, and enable an optional QR code. The sender can receive an email when delivery takes place and another when the recipient uses the card for a purchase. The administration settings also display email sending status.

Choose how customers redeem cards

Customers can apply a code on the Cart or Checkout page, or enter it in the standard coupon code field. You can choose where the gift card form appears, set a minimum cart amount for applying a card, and exclude specific product categories from redemption.

A card can cover part of an order when its balance is below the total, with the remaining balance available for a future purchase. You can configure a card for one use, after which it cannot be used again, or allow repeated use while a balance remains. Set an expiration date or choose a period after purchase. For cancelled or refunded orders, configure whether the card is suspended or disabled.

Manage cards in the store administration

• Create, edit, or disable cards manually, and generate and send multiple cards with a bulk action.
• Import and export gift cards as CSV files, and manage stock for each gift card product.
• Update a card balance without creating another order.
• Review cards, balances, and related orders in an administration table.

Supported integrations

With YITH WooCommerce Multi Vendor, gift card codes can apply only to products from vendors assigned to the card by the global administrator. Integration with WC Smart Coupons can convert Store Credit or Gift Certificate coupons into gift cards. Other integrations include YITH Multi Currency Switcher for WooCommerce and YITH Booking and Appointment for WooCommerce.

Prepare a gift card for sale

WooCommerce must be active for the gift card add-on to work. Install and activate YITH WooCommerce Gift Cards, create a gift card product, configure its amounts and available options, then publish it. Review delivery, redemption, form placement, and notification settings before offering the product to customers.
