WP DSGVO Tools Premium is the paid edition of a WordPress privacy toolkit optimized for websites in Germany and Austria. It can also be used in other EU countries and third countries. Setup involves selecting the services a site uses, entering relevant details and configuring the privacy capabilities.

Consent and service controls

The extension can create cookie popups and notices, generate privacy information and control services and embedded content. Consent options include opt-in, opt-out and cancellation management, configurable consent validity, and a waiting period before consent is requested again.

WP DSGVO Tools Premium can generate data protection information and create an imprint. Add the imprint through page selection or a shortcode. The legal texts were prepared by a law firm specializing in IT, internet and data protection law. Translations were made by sworn and certified interpreters rather than community contributors. The plugin is officially certified for WPML and also works with Polylang and WPGlobus.

The broader WP DSGVO Tools capability set also lists Google Analytics, Matomo and WP Statistics integrations, a right-to-be-forgotten function with time management, and automated directory queries and deletion. Directory query output can be provided as PDF or JSON.

License and WordPress status

Premium licenses are no longer being continued, and no new features or functions are being added to WP DSGVO Tools. The publisher recommends LegalWeb Cloud as its newer premium plugin, describing it as CMS-independent with API access and additional features.

The plugin directory warns that WP DSGVO Tools has not been tested with the latest three major WordPress releases. It may no longer be maintained or supported, and compatibility issues with newer releases are possible.
