Social sharing in the Gutenberg editor

Social Share Block Pro adds sharing and engagement blocks for WordPress content, including posts, pages, articles, tutorials and products. Place blocks in the Gutenberg editor, then adjust their available settings. Shortcode support lets you place social sharing buttons in supported areas outside the standard block process.

Choose how visitors share

• Floating Share Bar: Keep a share bar visible as visitors scroll. Set it to appear across the site, on the home page or on selected pages.
• Highlight to Share: Let visitors choose text and share it through a floating tooltip. The network manager supports custom values for networks, such as a handle, email address, WhatsApp number or subreddit.
• QR Code Share: Create a scannable code for the current page. Set its dimensions for desktop, tablet and mobile.
• Click to Share and Share Card: Present sharing prompts in call-to-action blocks or pre-styled card layouts.
• Copy URL: Give visitors a button to copy the page link for sharing.

Encourage other kinds of engagement

Share Locker keeps selected content locked until visitors share the page, with an option to require sharing to a specified number of networks. It can support campaigns for downloads, coupons and lead-generation offers. Follow Buttons link to social profiles and can show follower counts. Share Count Total displays an aggregate sharing count, while Share Modal Trigger opens sharing settings in a modal after a visitor clicks.

Click to Chat adds a contact button linked to WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram, phone, SMS or email. Visibility controls support website-wide or page-specific display.

Adjust the presentation

Pro includes two premium share themes: animated icons and buttons with text. Hover transform effects add motion, and network labels can identify each button, such as “Share on Facebook.” Available settings depend on the selected block and can include its theme, layout, labels, visibility and interaction options.

Where the blocks fit

Use a floating bar on articles or tutorials, Highlight to Share on documentation, and QR Code Share for visitors who want to open a page on another device. Share Locker can support download or offer campaigns; Follow Buttons link readers to social profiles, and Click to Chat provides a direct contact option. The blocks also suit portfolios, online courses and community sites.

Add a sharing block

Install and activate the B Social Share add-on in WordPress. In the Gutenberg editor, add the Social Share block from the sharing options or the Widgets block category. Select the Pro capability you need, configure its available settings, and pick the relevant theme, layout, labels, visibility or interaction options before publishing.
