Set up ratings for your content
YASR Pro adds ratings and reviews to WordPress posts and pages. Place rating widgets in your content, sidebar, or footer, and personalize their appearance. The responsive styling is intended to display ratings across screen sizes.
Choose the rating method that fits the review. The author enters an overall score in the editor, which readers see in read-only mode. Visitors can cast separate votes through an interactive star widget. They can also comment on published content, where other readers can see positive and negative feedback.
Break a review into criteria
Multi Sets let reviewers score several aspects of one item. For a videogame review, for example, a set can separate scores for graphics, gameplay, and story. Create the set in YASR options, then add it to a post with its generated shortcode.
Place scores and rankings
Shortcodes can insert overall ratings, visitor votes, Multi Sets, and rankings into supported content areas. YASR can display a ranking of the ten highest-rated entries by reviewer.
Review structured data
YASR supports review Schema.org data for item types including Book, Course, Event, Game, LocalBusiness, Movie, Product, Recipe, and SoftwareApplication. BlogPosting is also supported, but that item type does not display stars in search results.
Developer options and setup
The add-on includes a REST API and hooks for developer customization, while its shortcode workflow does not require coding. To get started, install and activate YASR Pro in the WordPress dashboard, open its settings, configure rating options, and create any needed Multi Sets. Add the generated shortcodes to posts, pages, or widget areas, then publish and review how the ratings appear.
