Which gateways can you control?

Payment Gateways by User Roles for WooCommerce Pro sets which payment gateways appear in a WooCommerce store according to user roles. The base add-on covers Direct bank transfer, Check payments, Cash on delivery, and PayPal. Pro extends role controls to almost all payment gateways created for WooCommerce, including Stripe for WooCommerce and custom payment gateways.

How do included and excluded roles work?

Set a rule for each gateway. An included-role rule makes that gateway available only to the roles you select. An excluded-role rule makes it unavailable to the roles you select. You can use roles already in your shop, including custom user roles present in WooCommerce.

How are multiple roles checked?

If a user has more than one assigned role, select whether the rule check considers the first assigned role or all assigned roles. Select the option that matches how roles are organized in your store.

How do you set up the rules?

1. Identify the payment gateways that need role-based visibility.
2. For each gateway, choose whether to include or exclude selected roles.
3. Select the relevant standard or custom roles.
4. Choose whether the role check uses the first assigned role or all assigned roles.
5. Apply the rules to the gateways used in your WooCommerce checkout.

Install the Pro plugin in the WooCommerce store, then configure the rules for each gateway. To check the result, view checkout payment methods with accounts assigned to the relevant roles.
