Build WordPress campaigns around visitor actions

OptinMonster Pro is a paid campaign option for creating marketing messages with a WordPress add-on. The add-on connects to the OptinMonster service, so an account is required. Use campaigns for newsletter signups, lead generation, coupons, promotions and ecommerce messages, with formats suited to different parts of a site.

Choose a campaign format

• Lightbox popups can collect newsletter signups or display coupons, WooCommerce cross-sells and upsells.
• Floating bars sit at the top of a page for announcements, free-shipping notices, sales or countdown promotions.
• Slide-in popups appear from the bottom of the screen and can highlight coupon codes, related posts or WooCommerce upsells.
• Fullscreen welcome mats put an offer in the center of a visitor’s attention.
• Inline signup forms fit within page content or can appear at the start or end of a post. Sidebar forms provide another placement for newsletter signups.
• Spin-a-wheel campaigns use a coupon-wheel format for interactive opt-ins.

Mobile popups are also included in the campaign system. The builder is optimized for web and server performance.

Control timing and display

Pro utilities include Exit-Intent, Campaign Scheduling and Countdown Timers. They let you respond to visitors preparing to leave, schedule when a campaign appears and support time-focused promotions.

Display rules can target campaigns by page or visitor behavior. Options described for the service include referrer, geolocation, device, scroll, click, inactivity and time-on-website triggers. WooCommerce campaigns can also use cart contents or order value as targeting conditions.

Connect campaigns to your workflow

Listed integrations include MailChimp, HubSpot, ConvertKit, Klaviyo, Keap/Infusionsoft, ActiveCampaign, WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads, MemberPress and Google Analytics.

When a native connection does not fit your setup, you can use an Embedded Form block, add a shortcode-based form from WPForms, Gravity Forms, Formidable Forms, Ninja Forms or Contact Form 7, send lead information through webhooks, connect to Zapier, or use Uncanny Automator for WordPress.

Install and set up

1. Install the WordPress plugin and register for or connect an OptinMonster account.
2. Create a campaign, select its format and add the message or form.
3. Choose an available integration or another connection method for your marketing workflow.

The account offered during plugin registration includes three campaigns and up to 500 campaign impression credits. When those credits are used, the account is upgraded so campaigns can continue to display. Upgrade preferences can be managed in the account.
