Maps that connect regions with information
HTML5 Maps Premium adds colorful, responsive maps to WordPress pages and posts. Choose an available country or regional map; examples include the World, United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Italy. The product description notes that new maps and regions are added over time. Depending on the selected map, visitors can explore areas such as continents, regions, states, and counties.
Use maps to organize geographically related content, guide visitors through a regional directory, or provide visual navigation to location-based information. They are designed for desktop and mobile contexts, including iPad, iPhone, and Android devices.
Configure region colors and interactions
The visual editor lets you adjust map styling, colors, popups, links, and side information without coding. A popup can display information when a visitor moves the cursor over a region. Click behavior is configured separately: set a region to open a URL or display more information.
When a region's click option is set to Open a URL, its URL field can contain a valid JavaScript code. To show information instead, choose Show more info and enter content or upload media supported by WordPress. Side information can appear below or beside the map.
Local libraries and branding
The Premium add-ons are described as branding-free and include the required map libraries for local hosting. The plugin's standard maps use CDN-hosted libraries; the included libraries provide an option to place them on your own server.
Place a map in WordPress
After creating and configuring a map, open the plugin's Maps tab and copy its shortcode. Paste the shortcode into the text of the WordPress page or post where the map should appear.
