Conditional Shipping for WooCommerce Pro | Checkout Rules
Conditional Shipping for WooCommerce Pro applies conditions to shipping methods and zones you already use in WooCommerce. It works with flat rate, free shipping, pickup, and other methods created through shipping zones. A ruleset checks its conditions and runs its actions when they pass.
Shipping choices follow rulesets
Conditional Shipping for WooCommerce Pro applies conditions to shipping methods and zones you already use in WooCommerce. It works with flat rate, free shipping, pickup, and other methods created through shipping zones. A ruleset checks its conditions and runs its actions when they pass.
For example, set Economy for orders under 30 kg and Freight for orders over 30 kg. Checkout then shows the method that applies to the order.
Conditions for orders, products, and customers
Core conditions cover products, total weight, total length, total height, total width, total volume, and order subtotal. Pro includes those capabilities and includes conditions for:
- Product measurements, such as allowing a method only when the tallest product in the cart is 10 cm or less
- Shipping class and category
- Coupons and the number of items in the cart
- Whether a customer is logged in or logged out, and the customer's user role
Costs and checkout messages
Set shipping costs by condition, such as increasing the cost by 20% for large items. Pro can also change shipping method titles when conditions match, show shipping notices, and show a custom “no shipping methods available” message when conditions apply.
Check why a method appears at checkout
If checkout shows an unexpected shipping option, turn on debug mode to see which conditions passed and which actions ran. For dynamic rates such as USPS and DHL, use the Match by name option when selecting the shipping method.
Set up shipping conditions
Install and activate the add-on, then configure rules alongside your existing WooCommerce shipping setup:
- Configure your shipping methods and zones in WooCommerce.
- Choose the methods to restrict or adjust.
- Set conditions using order, product, cart, coupon, category, shipping class, or customer information.
- Add conditional costs, titles, notices, or a custom unavailable-method message where needed.
- Review the checkout result. Use debug mode to troubleshoot how the rules behave.
Rulesets are available at WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping > Conditions. Priority email support is available for Pro. The plugin's support forum is checked regularly, though a response is not guaranteed for every issue.
