BlogVault WordPress Backups, Staging & Site Management
BlogVault connects a WordPress site to a paid service for backups, recovery, staging, migration, and site management. Backups cover the database and site documents, including themes, extensions, and media. Incremental backups save changes since the previous backup, while encrypted copies are stored offsite on BlogVault’s cloud infrastructure. Backup and restore processing runs on BlogVault’s servers to help reduce work on your site. An independent dashboard lets you monitor connected sites and access backups even when your site’s server is down.

Schedules and recovery points
After you install and activate the plugin and connect your site to a BlogVault account, backups begin automatically. You can choose daily, weekly, or monthly schedules and access up to 90 days of backup history. WordPress multisite installations are supported.
- Select from multiple restore points and use one-click restore, including when the site is offline.
- Differential restore applies the required changes to speed recovery.
Staging and migration
Create a staging site in one click to test WordPress, theme, and add-on changes before applying them to the live site. Staging runs on BlogVault’s cloud, and you can merge selected changes back to the live site. Staging validity can be extended for up to 56 days.
Migration tools move a site to a new host, domain, or server and can update URLs automatically. The service is designed for minimal or no downtime. Listed compatible hosts include WP Engine, Pantheon, Flywheel, Liquid Web, and Cloudways.
WooCommerce and managing multiple websites
For WooCommerce stores, real-time backups sync orders and store changes as they happen. Archives are available for up to 365 days, and restores can be performed without losing recent orders.
Developers and agencies can manage multiple WordPress sites from one dashboard. Remote updates cover WordPress core, themes, and add-ons. The dashboard also supports team invitations, client access assignment, white-label options, and client reporting.
Getting started
Install and activate the BlogVault plugin, then connect your site to your BlogVault account. Setup is described as taking about a minute. Once backups begin, use the dashboard to choose a schedule, review restore points, create a staging site, or manage migration and updates.
