Configure the chat widget

Pure Chat PRO adds a live chat widget to a WordPress website, where users can start conversations. Chats are unlimited. Use the Pure Chat dashboard to adjust the widget’s appearance and visitor-facing messages; messages can be written in the language you select for the website.

The available trigger functionality can shape the chat experience. Previous conversations remain available in transcript history.

Choose what visitors can do when chat is unavailable

Set the widget to show an offline indicator, disappear from the page, or let visitors email their questions through an offline form. These settings determine whether visitors see chat status, no widget, or a way to send a message when you are not online.

Review activity and contacts

Realtime analytics provide current information about chat activity. Visitor tracking and contact tracking help you follow interactions with people using the widget and keep track of contacts generated through live chat. Together with transcript history, these tools provide context for reviewing conversations and activity.

Install and manage the plugin

Install the plugin on your WordPress website, then configure the widget’s appearance, messages, and availability behavior in the Pure Chat dashboard. The plugin requires no additional software installation and shows no ads. To temporarily remove the widget, deactivate the plugin; it stops appearing on the site while preserving your preferred settings for later reactivation.
