Membership plans and access rules
Create unlimited membership levels or subscription packages with free, trial, or paid terms. Set each plan’s price, duration, signup fee, renewal count, status, billing frequency and period, and assigned WordPress role.
Access rules can depend on a user role, access level, membership level or plan, and membership status. Apply them to pages, posts, archives, custom post types, WordPress blocks, WooCommerce products, API requests, and media embedded in a post or page. Rules can cover an entire item or selected sections. You can choose whether visitors without access see an excerpt and personalize their access message. Media restrictions do not protect the original file URL on the server.
Member accounts and payments
The plugin makes pages for registration, successful registration, account management, profile editing, and billing card updates. Members can check their account status, renewal or expiration date, and payment history, including PDF invoices. They can update their name, email address, and password through the profile editor.
Members can upgrade or downgrade between levels. Changes are prorated according to the amount already paid and time remaining in the current membership. Set payments to always renew, never renew, or let the member choose.
Stripe and manual payments are available. Pro payment gateway options include PayPal, Authorize.net, Braintree, and custom gateways.
Pro utilities and administration
Pro functions include percentage or flat-rate discount codes with usage limits and optional expiration dates, free trials with reminder emails, customizable member emails, earnings reports, Google reCAPTCHA for member login forms, and a collection of 34 add-ons. Add-ons include group accounts, scheduled content release, custom redirects, WooCommerce member discounts, and controls for restricting content by date.
Administrators can search membership records, view active, expired, cancelled, and pending memberships, add memberships manually, edit records individually or in bulk, and export records to CSV.
Setup and extension
Install and activate the plugin, create membership levels, configure payment options, then set access rules for each plan. Review the generated registration and account pages to fit your website’s process.
Developer options include action hooks, filters, REST API and WP-CLI integration. Templates can be overridden from a theme, and display options are designed to work with themes without custom CSS.
