Security coverage and backup options

Jetpack offers paid security options for WordPress sites through the Security bundle and VaultPress Backup. The Security bundle combines security capabilities with backups, while VaultPress Backup focuses on automatic backups and restoration. Scan and Akismet Anti-spam are also available individually.

Back up, restore and move a site

Jetpack can back up site changes automatically in real time, with off-site storage starting at 10 GB and additional storage options available. Restore to an earlier point with one click, or use an older backup to help repair a broken site.

• Clone a site or make a test copy from a backup.

The activity log records site changes and who made them, giving teams a record to use during maintenance and troubleshooting.

Scans, firewall and login protection

Automated scans check for malware and other code threats. When malware is found, Jetpack includes a one-click fix. The web application firewall examines incoming traffic and lets you allow or block it using rules. This can add protection when attackers target unpatched vulnerabilities.

Jetpack also includes brute force protection for the WordPress login page and optional two-factor authentication with WordPress.com-powered login.

Uptime alerts and spam filtering

Uptime monitoring tracks when a site goes down and sends an email alert. Akismet Anti-spam filters spam comments and form responses. It supports Jetpack forms and integrations with Contact Form 7, Ninja Forms, Gravity Forms and Formidable Forms.
