Currency selection and checkout

FOX Professional adds unlimited currencies to a WooCommerce store. Shoppers can switch the currency used to show product prices. Checkout in their selected currency is available when the multiple-currency checkout option is enabled.

Place the switcher in a widgetized area or add the [woocs] shortcode where customers can find it, including in a top menu. Ajax-enabled shortcodes and widgets are also available for a currency converter and currency rates.

Switcher layouts and price display

Choose a drop-down, flags, or a side switcher, and assign a flag to each currency. Smart Designer provides controls for creating customized drop-downs for various areas of a site.

Each currency can have its own decimal precision, money sign, sign position, and price format. Set whether cents appear, use a standard or custom symbol, and adjust thousands and decimal separators through the woocs_price_thousand_sep and woocs_price_decimal_sep hooks. Custom symbols and formats can also represent currencies that do not exist in the real world.

Rates and pricing rules

Rates can be entered manually or retrieved from more than seven currency aggregators. Automatic updates can execute hourly, twice daily, daily, weekly, monthly, or every 5, 15, 30, or 45 minutes. Disable scheduled updates to maintain rates manually. Email notices about rate changes are optional.

Pricing controls include fixed prices and amount rules, with options based on visitor role or country. GeoIP rules can select a user's local currency and apply country-specific currency or price behavior to individual products. Payment rules can show or hide payment gateways according to the current currency, and an API provides additional control over multi-currency behavior.

Compatibility and setup

The plugin lists compatibility with WooCommerce product filters, product feed generators, booking and rental software, and points-and-rewards software. It describes compatibility with 95% of payment gateways in multi-currency mode.

Install FOX Professional, then open its settings to add currencies, configure rates, select a switcher display, and set pricing or payment rules. Add the widget or shortcode where the switcher should appear. Enable the multiple-currency checkout option if customers should pay in their selected currency.
