Create embeds in your WordPress editor
Use the Embed Plus for YouTube Wizard block in Gutenberg or work in the classic editor. With Elementor, Beaver Builder, SiteOrigin, Visual Composer, or another compatible page builder, create a shortcode in the wizard and place it in a shortcode or text widget.
Set gallery presentation and livestream chat
Channel and playlist galleries let users browse videos from the selected source. Pro adds list and slider layouts, popup or lightbox playback, and text-only paging that hides thumbnails. Galleries can also play through videos continuously without requiring a click on each thumbnail.
Add a YouTube live chat box alongside a livestream embed. YouTube Super Chat and Super Stickers may also be available for the stream.
Choose loading, privacy, and player options
Facade mode loads a lighter player for standard videos and galleries until a visitor clicks; livestreams always load the real player. Pro also includes lazy loading with effects and animations. Caching can reduce repeated requests to YouTube and support faster page loads. The add-on can defer its JavaScript and serves minified CSS and JavaScript.
Responsive embeds fit phone, tablet, and desktop screens. Available player controls include dimensions, autoplay, captions, annotations, looping, related-video behavior, fullscreen controls, and start and end times. Privacy options include YouTube no-cookie, YouTube API restrictions, and a customizable GDPR consent message. If a website already uses a consent plugin, it may not need these particular consent controls.
Review video metadata and availability
When a post or page contains at least one video, Pro can use the first video's thumbnail as its featured image. Automatic video SEO tagging and Facebook Open Graph tagging add metadata to published content.
Deleted-video alerts help identify embedded videos that have been removed or taken down. Mobile compatibility checks can flag restrictions that may prevent visitors from viewing embeds on mobile devices, and country alerts can identify videos blocked for visitors in various regions. The embed-focused analytics dashboard tracks viewing activity for each embed, helping you compare performance across your site's videos.
Install and publish
Install the separate Pro plugin in WordPress, then use its wizard to prepare a video, gallery, livestream, or premiere embed. Add the result through the Gutenberg block, classic editor, or a compatible page builder widget, and adjust the available presentation, privacy, and playback settings for the page.
