HTML5 Audio Player PRO adds playlist, podcast, playback, and radio controls to a responsive WordPress audio player. Use it for podcasts, music, audio previews, courses, and live streams. Add a player to a post, page, widget area, or template with a shortcode, or select one in the Gutenberg block editor. Supported audio includes MP3, OGG, and FLAC documents, with HLS live streaming.

Choose a playlist layout and style

Use the Narrow or Extensive playlist layout with collapsible track descriptions and custom styling. PRO includes seven player skins: Card 1, Card 2, Simple 1, Simple 2, Player 9, Player 10, and Player 11. Set custom colors and track title and artist typography, or use the Single Button Player for an inline audio sample.

Help listeners find and follow episodes

Podcast playlists can include real-time keyword search within playlist layers. Set a per-page episode limit, then pick numbered pagination or a Load More button to navigate larger collections. Interactive transcripts display text beneath the audio, highlight the current line, and let listeners search the transcript or click a line to jump to that point. Import SRT or VTT captions, or enter timed text.

PRO can generate transcripts with the open-source Whisper model in the browser. It does not require an API key, and the audio is not uploaded. Choose Automatic, Fast, Accurate, or Best processing; select from 18 common languages or let the tool detect the language, with about 99 languages supported. Speech recognition can misspell names and rare words, so review generated text before saving. Show transcripts for tracks in Narrow and Extensive playlists and the [player] Playlist type, including saved playlists. Listeners can download transcripts as VTT or TXT files.

Review listening analytics

PRO extends the audio analytics dashboard with 30-day and 90-day views, custom date ranges, comparisons with the previous period, average listening time, completion rate, unique listeners, and top 10 tracks with filters and sorting. Reports also include per-track listening depth and per-player statistics.

Manage radio streams and playback

Multiple Radio Stations gives listeners one player interface for switching between stations or channels. Recently Played Track History can display live song titles and timelines from Icecast or Shoutcast metadata. A backup stream URL enables automatic failover to a secondary stream if the primary server goes offline. HLS streams can display Connecting, Buffering, and Offline status messages.

Playback speed options range from 0.5x to 2x. Narrow and Extensive playlists include forward and rewind controls, with options for skip intervals, start and end offsets, and pause locks. State Saving remembers a listener’s playback position so a track can resume from where it stopped. You can also enable or disable direct downloads for tracks and episodes. PRO includes an ad-free experience, a dedicated support channel, priority bug fixes, and updates.

Install and add a player

Install and activate the plugin in WordPress, then open the HTML5 Audio Player menu and add a player. Configure its audio source, playlist, layout, and PRO controls, then copy the shortcode into a post, page, or widget. To use the block editor, select the HTML5 Audio Player block, choose a player, and publish the page.
